Can I have MXI-3 and MXI-4 host cards in a PC at the same time

Hello I have a PC connected to a PXI rack using a MXI-3 fibre optic solution.

We need to add a second remote PXI rack and require that the connection is from the PC using a fibre optic MXI link.

I purchased a MXI-4 card PCI-8336 and the corresponding PXI card to be installed in the second PXI rack.

It has only just occurred to me that the original MXI link is version 3.

Q1 Will the MXI-3 card work with MXI-4 drivers or is the card tied to the MXI version?

Q2 Can MXI-3 software be installed and oeprate at the same time as MXI-4?

Yes, you should be able to use both cards at the same time from the same PC to communicate with two PXI chassis.

Have you tried to update LabVIEW RT and NI-VISA to the latest versions and see if they can work properly?
