Can NI PXI-PCIe 8362 use in PXI 1044 chasing

Currently, we have the system as below:

(a) PXI-1044 chasis

(b) PXI-8106 controller

(c) PXI-5122 DIG

The questions:

(a) can I remotely control this system by using external PC with LabVIEW 8.6 (by passing the embedded controller)?

(b) If not, can I use PXI-PCIe 8362 replace the PXI8106 controller?

Hello,

If you use Real-time module then, you can access remotely.

PXI-8106 can boot real-time OS which is different to Windows OS.

Next,

PXIe-xxxx controller can not be used with PXI-1042.

Because, PXIe-xxxx use PCI-express bus lines.
