Mr. Roberto,
Thanks for contacting National Instruments. You are correct that the PXI-1033 Integrated Controller and Chassis supports either the PCI Express host (i.e PCIc-8361) or an ExpressCard (i.e. 8360).
Unfortunately, since the PXI-1033 uses an integrated MXI Express, you cannot use any of the MXI-3 or MXI-4 PCI boards. The PCIe and PCI architecture and mapping are different, and the PXI board is expecting a PCIe signal. In general, with MXI express, depending on the setup, you can have PCIe to PXI, or PCIe to PXIe. With MXI express, you cannot have a PCI board in either case.
I have attached below a really helpful utillity to help configure your PXI system including controller, chassis, modules, software, and summary.

Hopefully you are able to find something that will work for you system, and if you ever have any specific questions about configurations or pricing feel free to contact your local Field Engineer.
Thanks again and let me know if you would like additional explanation,
Regards,
Jordo

Similar question;
I have a PXI-1033 with an Expresscard notebook interface. Now I need to communicate via a stationary PC PIC / PCIe instead. Does this mean that the available options are PCIe-8361 / PCIe-8362 or are there others that will work?
Thanks in advance
