Does the PXI-8431 support SDLC protocol? I'm trying to communicate with a device that uses a RS485 signal with SDLC protocol. If not, can anyone recommend an alternate solution?

Hi thooten,
Unfortunately it doesn't look like our serial boards can support this protocol. However, it does look the HDLC protocol can be implemented using some of our FlexRIO or R-series cards, and there is a LabVIEW FPGA example that can be found here: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/5339.
Give that a look, and if you've got any questions on that you can always post in the FPGA product specific forums.

Hello Mr. Lee,
Can I test SDLC/HDLC interfaces with NI PXI-7851R?

The PXI-7851R has the same number of inputs and outputs as the PXI-7833R listed in the example mentioned. The 7851 offers much higher performance and increased FPGA size. It should be able to run the example fine.
