Hi, 

im a student currently working on a project at my university regarding rotary encoders and the different signal types they use.

After looking through a couple of signal types for my task i stumpled upon EtherCat and was wondering if there is any module capable of implementing a Ethercat signal into my NI PXI-1042.

Since i'm by far no specialist on this topic i thought i'll give this Forum a try.

Hi,

 

depending on your PXI Controller you can set up a Ethernet Port as EtherCAT.

 

I would suggest you call NI for a consulting if your Controller is capable and if not wich one would suit you best.
