I have a NI PXI-8108 Controller that has been wiped clean. There is no OS installed currently. I have used clonezilla live and linux live usb creator to clone an image of Hypervisor/Labview RT system and restore the image on the controller. The image that was cloned is not a bootable file. Can anyone help me in making this image bootable? I had followed the NI's Best Practices instructions here for cloning images using clonzilla:

Also, the PXI-8108 controller is not recognizing any external USB drives while plugged in.

Hello,
How did you format the controller? Were you able to backup your data prior to taking the image? While the process in the article you posted is unsupported/at your own risk, you can restore your Hypervisor system with the following method:

Hello,
Glad to hear that you've been successful creating a backup of your hypervisor system using Clonezilla - I also use this tool a lot and it has worked very well for backing up and restoring images. As far as the next step of creating a bootable restore utility, you can find some information here:
Please let me know if this process works for you, or if you run into any issues. In addition, what do you mean when you say that the PXI-8108 controller will not recognize USB drives? In the BIOS? In the Clonezilla tool? If you were not able to use your USB drive for storing the image, did you store it on another system via the network? It sounds like you were succesful using a USB stick to run the Clonezilla Live USB from.
