Fan noise from chassis PXIe 1071

Hi there,

I recently set up a PXIe-1071 chassis, but the fan noise is extremely loud. Switching the fan mode from "High" to "AUTO" reduces the noise slightly, but it’s still quite loud overall.

In contrast, when I tested a new PXIe-1083 chassis and another PXIe-1071 chassis that was set up a few years ago, both were much quieter.

I’m wondering if I might have missed something during the setup of the PXIe-1071 that’s causing the noise, or if the fan design for this model has changed in recent years.

Thanks for any suggestions!

All the best,

Rufei

IMO, it could be an older generation of fans that are noisy, may be the latest ones are improved silent variants.
