FlexRIO FPGA (PXIe-7965R) not targetable

Hi All,

I've got a PXI system with a PXIe-7965R FlexRIO FPGA board installed.  I cannot target the board at all, and if I open an example which should work with it, I get the error, "Software support for this FPGA target is not installed on the computer."  (please see attached image).  I am running LabVIEW 2011, NI-RIO 4.0, and LabVIEW FPGA Module 11.0.0, which, as far as I can tell, should be all I need.  Please let me know if I seem to be missing anything!

Hi Jason,

Are you able to recognize your FPGA board in NI Measurement & Automation Explorer? Also what Operating System are you using? Finally, has this worked before or is this the initial setup? Answers to these questions will help us better isolate the issue.

Hi Allison,

Yes, the FPGA is recognized in MAX, using Windows XP, and this is the initial setup.

Hi Jason,

Thank you for the information. It appears you do not have the NI FlexRIO Adapter Module installed which is necessary for your PXIe card. Please install the support from here: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2743/lang/en. This KnowledgeBase article outlines the necessary software required for FlexRIO adapter modules.
