How do I attach set up my DAQ for a strain guage

I have access to KFW-5-120-C1-11 L1M2R strain guagues and I would like to access the strain from them using my PXI 4220.  I cna get the wires set up but I need to know how to set up my circuit and filter the results.  I was told the 4220 has built in bridge functions so I would like to take advantage of that.

Roger,

All the configuration happens in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX), when configuring a Strain task for that card.  To create a Strain task, open MAX (Start>>All Programs>>National Instruments>>Measurement and Automation), and right-click on your device in the Configuration section, under My System>>Devices and Interfaces>>NI DAQmx Devices, and select Create Task.  This will open a new window to select the type of task.  Select Acquire Signals>>Analog Input>>Strain.  Then, select the channel(s) on your device that you will be using and click Next.  Finally, name the task and click Finish.

Once the task has been created, MAX will show the page for changing all the properties of the task.  In the Settings tab, you can select the type of bridge from the Strain Configuration pull-down menu, and the low pass filtering can be set on the Device tab.

I hope this helps.
