I am able to use counters on my pxi without using daqmx timing (sample clock).vi's (seen in DIOworking6.vi), however, when I try to use my PXI in a deterministic manner, outlined in this link
http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370466Y-01/mxcncpts/controlappcase6/
I recieve the error -200714 (as seen in DIOworking8.vi) . How are the counters read, and affected by the daqmx timing.vi and how can I set up my counters to be read deterministically?
thanks,
Luke

Hi,
Is your controller running Windows or Real-Time?

I'm using an RT operating system.

Here's what I can find on that error code:
"Possible reason(s):
Acquisition has stopped because the driver could not transfer the data from the device to the computer memory fast enough. This was caused by computer system limitations.
Reduce your sample clock rate, the number of channels in the task, or the number of programs your computer is executing concurrently."
