LEDs ON for PSU and SMU

HI,

when do the LEDs of the SMU and PSU switch on?

We have an issue not being able to connect (e.g. testpanel) to the PSU and SMU in our setup.

We do not see any LEDs switched ON for SMU and PSU.

The interface is via external PC. We first start the NI Chassis and afterwards starting up the PC.

I thought some LEDs should be visible (ON) on the PSU and SMU only after startup without communication.

Can anyone explain or help what can be wrong. It is not the PXI Chassis. We swapped with for sure good one.

Now trying to swap with a for sure good PCIe interface card.

My question: when should LEDs go ON at PSU and SMU? Now we have no LEDs at all lighting up at PSU and SMU.

thx & regards,

Koen.

It would vary by the model of SMU/PPS. As an example, the front panel documentation of the 4110 PPS describes the following,

I would recommend you to look up the specific model indicator states.Quick tip, if the LED is not lit up, then the module is not powered up (check the modules on other slots to see if they are powered up)
