Hi Guys
We have a Third party PXI chassis ,a Third party PXi Controller with NI Ethernet cards(Ni 8231).We wants to run the controller in RTOS. So when we tried to install Ni RTOS , it stated that Ethernet chipset is not supported.
Our query is, since we have Respective NI Ethernet cards (PXI 8231 inserted in Slot 2) which have respective chipsets supported for installing RTOS is present in the chassis. In this case also we should be able to install the Rtos, but we are not able to do it Why?.
If it is possible how to do it.

Basically what you are doing is creating a Real-Time desktop (since it's a 3rd party controller).
Check out this dev zone for the requirements: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/8239/en
If memory serves me, you will need to disable the unsupported ethernet ports in the BIOS before attempting to install the NI RT OS. Ethernet chipsets are the most difficult part of getting a RT desktop install to work.
