Hello All, I am a Newbie here.
We have PXIe-1092 chassis with: PXI-8231, PXIe-6341, PXI-6509 and PXI-4070 cards.
My challenge is that I need to support Fedora Core 15 (circa 2011) which is a 32bit version of Linux (kernel 2.6) on this chassis. I am looking for guidance / help in finding 32bit Linux versions of these drivers and getting them installed and functioning. If at all possible.
We have FC15 installed and running, ported drivers for the SSD hard disk and ethernet drivers. The last bit is getting drivers for the cards installed and functional. I understand older drivers as well as 32bit Linux is no longer supported. However due to government regs I am challenged to support this configuration.
Again, any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Rusty Eddy

Looks like the download page doesn't have any 32-bit drivers publicly available - https://www.ni.com/en/support/downloads/drivers/download.ni-linux-device-drivers.htm
You might need to reach out to NI Support to get older drivers (you need an active SSP to contact support)

NI-DAQmx Base supports 32-bit Linux. See Programming Data Acquisition for Linux with NI-DAQmx Base
I am not aware of any 32-bit Linux driver for NI-DMM.

Thank You for your response and the pointer to the drivers!

I will say up front that due to your combination of requirements, you are most likely not going to be able to get this working.
To my knowledge, the newer NI-DAQmx Base only supports 64-bit kernel, but NI-DAQmx Base, NI-DAQmx, and NI-DMM all both support both 32-bit and 64-bit user mode.
After a lot of digging, I was able to find a link to the most recent 32-bit kernel NI-DMM driver. Here is NI-DAQmx 8.0. Due to the difficulty in finding these, I have started conversations to get the relevant KB publicized so that customers can find these old drivers more easily.
NI-DAQmx 8.0 does not support the PXIe-6341.

Hello Tobias,
First Thank You very much for your help and feedback! While this is not the solution I was hoping for (obviously) it also does not come as a big surprise. I'll have a look at the driver and regroup on our end to determine next steps.
Thank You for digging out the web page pointer for the 32-bit kernel NI-DMM driver! Making them easier to find may help somebody in the future.
Thanks again Tobias!
