NI 6585 With RS422 and single ended TTL signals

Hello, for my application with a PXI system and FPGA module a want to use a NI6585 LVDS digital adapter module for high speed opérations. I prefer the NI6585 to the NI6583 for a question of price.

I have input and output signals with RS422 format plus single ended TTL input and output signals.

Is it a easy with to convert these signals to LVDS on a home made board ?

Hi Ablation,

Unfortunately with the FlexRIO platform it appears that we don't have anything that will do both LVDS and RS-422 in the same adapter module.
For RS-422 there is the NI 6584, for TTL NI 6581 for example.

If you need both signals, you have several choices:
- Use several adapters modules
- Use the module MDK to create your own module
- Create your own home made board (we can't evaluate the difficulty degree)

Thank you for this answer. I thought this before, but I want to be sure I don't miss a NI solution.

I probably shall try the third choice with your help, both first ones seem to me too expensive.
