Vijay,
From your problem description, I believe your issue could be resolved by methodically cleaning up your driver situation and getting fresh versions of the driver software and LabVIEW on the computer. However, if you would prefer to re-image the chassis instead, the best resources I can offer you are the following KnowledgeBases:
KB 2ZKC02OK: Restoring and Changing the Operating System on a PXI or VXI Embedded Controller
Dev Zone: Restoring or Changing the Operating System in a PXI-8171 Series Embedded Controller
KB 1KBB15G4: How Do I Restore the Operating System on a VXI or PXI Embedded Controller?
FirstWare is the most preferable option, but it is only available on 8190 series and 8186/8187 controllers consistantly. In some cases, the other 8180 series and 8171 series controllers have FirstWare, but it is not a given. The next best option is to use the OS recovery CD that comes with the controller or the C:\images directory described in the KnowledgeBases above. The other methods described are more challenging.
Sincerely,
Ross C
