I purchased a PCI-8330 to complete the interface hardware required to communicate with a PXI Chassi. The new PCI-8330 card appears to not work. Symptom: communication lights go into rapid flashing during PC bootup, and PC then freezes.
Details: With the new PCI-8330 I now have 2 complete PXI systems. That is, 2 PCI-8330 cards, 2 interface cables, and 2 PXI Chassis (1042 and 1045). The PC's are Lenovo Intellistations running Windows XP.
Scenario 1: The (old) PCI-8330 card--that I have had in stock--is configured with either of the PC's, either of the cables, and either of the PXI Chassis. The system boots, runs fine, acquires data... no problems.
Scenario 2: The (new) PCI-8330 card is configured with either of the PC's, either of the cables, and either of the PXI Chassis... the PC begins to boot, the lights on the card begin to flash rapidly and the PC freezes.
Anyone run into this before? Bad card? Help!?
