PXI 1033 can not identify PXI 5411

I have just received the new PXI-1033. And it is connected to a laptop via the express card 8360.

The PXI 6115 (DAQ), 5105(Scope) and 5411(Fgen) were installed to the chasiss.

Cards 6115 and 5105 were shown in the MAX. However, the card 5411 (arb function generator) is not being recognized.

btw: I installed all the divers to the laptop.

I have also tried to change position of the 5411 from slots 2&3 to slots 3&4 and in both cases MAX does not recognize the 5411 hardware.

Any suggestions? Thx.

Hi Alias,

Are you able to see your PXI-5411 under Windows Device Manager?  If you're able to right click on it and press "Update Driver Software".  Which version of the NI-FGEN drivers are you using?

Hi Alias,

Another thought has come to my mind.  Are you using Windows 7 or Windows Vista?  If you are this is the reason that you are unable to detect your 5411.  The 5411 relies on TDAQ which is not supported on Windows 7 or Windows Vista.  You will have to switch a computer using Windows XP to be able to detect your 5411.

Actually I just solve this problem by switching the OS to Windows XP, since the application engineer told me that the driver for PXI 5411 is based on traditional DAQ (not compatible to Windows 7). Thx a lot!
