PXI-2503 Switch Configuration

I have a PXI-4070 DMM and would like to connect two PXI-2503 for single ended measurements (1x48) and the other in differential (2x24). Both 2503's would hook to the DMM Hi/Lo Input. Which terminals should be connected between the 2503's and the 3070 ?

Hi Groz,

The connections between your two PXI-2503s and one PXI-4070 DMM are going to be handled through the NI TB-2605 terminal blocks on the PX-2503s.  For both the single ended (1 wire 48x1) and differential (2 wire 24x1) multiplexer topologies, the DMM Hi should be connected to COM0+ (pin 61) and the DMM Lo should be connected to COM0- (pin 27).  This information can be found in the extensive NI Switches Help located: Start>>All Programs>>National Instruments>>NI-Switch>>Documentation>>NI Switches Help.  The pin-out for the NI TB-2605 terminal block can be found here.

David,

Thanks for the input on my configuration problem. After looking into the connection info, I believe the DMM connections need to be made on the AB0 +/- lines of each 2503. The switch executive has a separate switch to route the com0 line to ab0. Note: This allows the DMM to be connected "only" to one 2503 switch bus at a time.

Thanks

Unless the connector cable you are using requires access to the analog bus, hard wiring to the COM0+/- would work.
