update DAQ-mx drivers on a PXI-8196 controller.

How do you update the DAQ-mx driver on the PXI-8196 controller? I am currently running 8.0 and need to update it to 8.6 so that my host PC will match the version.

This will depend on which operating system (OS) you're running on your controller, Windows or the RT OS.

For Windows OS: 

1. On the PXI-8196, open a web browser and navigate to the DAQmx 8.6.1 download page.

2. Download the file with the link labeled "NI-DAQmx 8.6.1"
