I am potentially interested in buying a PXI 8106 for my servo motor control application. I would like to know the hardware timed single point loop rate performance of this controller when used with DAQmx, before buying it. Does anyone have the performance stats for this controller to NI's benchmarks (http://www.ni.com/white-paper/5423/en/)? Ideally I'd be able to get the loop rate performance for tests T1 to T4, for 1 and four channels. I can't find this info online.
I am borrowing a PXI 8108 for my setup currently and I can acheive loop rates of almost twice my 2kHz goal. I also know the performance of the 8108RT to the benchmark above, so if I had the same numbers for the 8106 I should be able to judge how the 8106 will perform for my application.
We do not have that data posted, but looking at the specs for those two cards, I would imagine that you wouldn't see more than a 20% drop in performance between the two. Probably less.
