Hello,

Unfortunately, there is not currently any way to read back SCXI configuration info in LabVIEW.

Could you give me some details as to why you need this information?

Regards,
Sean C.

I need to read the "cabled device" information too. It is useful to know the PXI slot where your SCXI modules are connected. I have some problems when I need to build separate tasks to separate 6025E cards, because you can't have independent devices in one task. The only solution I have found is changing devices names, adding the slot number on it.
Kindest regards,

Hi Nestor,

Can you provide a little more detail about the issue you are having?  You posted to an old forum, and I'm not quite sure I understand what you are trying to accomplish.

I have a PXI NI8175 with two 6025E cards (Slot3 and Slot7 of the PXI) connected to a SCXI-1000DC and a BNC-2090. The SCXI has two modules, a SCXI-1112 (thermocouples) and a SCXI-1530 (accel).

My aplication automatically
detects connected devices and the user selects which channels he wants to use. Then the program creates tasks and so on to adquire data, and here it would be useful to read "cabled device" info, because I need to create different tasks for each independent device (6025E cards).

So I have an array with the user defined channels connected to a for loop where I send them to one task if the device is connected to one 6025E and to another task if the device is connected to the other 6025E. Now I need to change SCXI devices' names, from  "SC1Mod1" to "Slot3SC1Mod1", because SC1Mod1 doesn't gives any information of the card it is connected to, and  the for loop needs to know that.

Do you understand? Sorry for my english :þ

If I understand what you're wanting to do, you can just add the slot information by concatenating the name string with the slot number.  This assumes that you already know what slots the modules are in. If you don't know the slots, you can try using the info contained here to try getting the information from MAX.
