PXI additional ethernal port

What card should I purchase for my PXI-1042 chasis if I want to add an extra ethernet port to the system?  I should be able to access that new ethernet port through XP inside my PXI, right?  Is it possible to use a usb to ethernet converter as well?

You may wish to take a look at our PXI-8231 which will allow you to work with Gigabit ethernet transfer rates. This card would allow you to access the ethernet port through your OS. As for USB to ethernet devices as we don't make any of these devices I can't guarantee the functionality. However, if the device has proper drivers to allow windows to recognize the device as a network adapter I don't see why this wouldn't work.
