I have a PXIe 1073 system
I want to start it automatically when there the Mains Power is connected.

Dear aparab,
as far as I understand your inquiry, you'd like to boot a pxi controller without pressing the on-switch. The PXI chassis has three different methods on how to power on: Wake-On-LAN, an inbuilt switch and a BIOS setting. Details you can find in the following article.

My PXIe-1073 doesn't have an embedded controller, are there no options for me other than to press the button every time I need to use the test rach it's installed within?

hi,
u have to checkur system BIOS and find any Power-On function and activate it.
NI has a plugin or workaround for the BioS issue for pxie 1073 install that and it will run.
contact support and ask them abt the workaround. I recollect having done that.
