Hello,

           I have PXIe-1073, want to install PXIe-6355 , can I use  PXI-6255 cable to connect PXIe-6355 to PXIe-1073? second question is how many PXIe-6355 can be installed in PXIe-1073? Thanks!

The PXIe-1073 is a 5-slot chassis, meaning it can hold 5 PXIe cards in it.  You then need a MXI connection to your PC to use it.  It looks like you should be able to use the cable you used to route the signals for the PXI-6255 with the PXIe-6355.

What do you mean by "PXI-6255 cable to connect PXIe-6355 to PXIe-1073"?

PXI(e) modules are inserted into the chassis directly. There is no cable connection.

Are you referring to the MXI cable connecting PXIe-1073 to the host PC or the SHC68-68 cable connecting DAQ device to the terminal block?

PXIe-1073 has 3 Hybrid Slots and 2 PXI Express Slots, so theoretically it can support 5 units of PXIe-6355.

However, you should consider Performing a Power Budget on a PXI/PXIe System

5 slots in PXIe1073, install 4 Pxie-6355 and 1 pxi-6514 should be fine, right? in PXIe-1073 spec show 3 hybrid and 2 express, what does hybrid mean? Thanks!

They both use the same SHC68-68 cable. Reference:
