Hello to everyone,
I would like to ask very naive questions. I am starting to assemble a system based on NI 1071 chassis and PXIe-8301 card.
We ordered the NI stuff without cables. As I see from the manual, the power cable for PXIe-1071 is quite standard and I can use any one. For PXe-8301 the thunderbolt cable is marked as a part 785607-02 NI and we need to wait for them some time. Can I use any active thunderbolt data cable or this connection needs specifically NI cable?
And the second question is about thunderbolt port itself. In manual it should be thunderbolt 3. My laptop is equipped with thunderbolt 4. Could it cause problems with connection?

Caution:
If you search the forum, there are lot of posts on issues with Thunderbolt and always the issue is that the Laptop/Computer vendor doesn't fully support Thunderbolt 3.
You can use any of good quality of Thunderbolt 3 cable. Ideally, Thunderbolt 4 should be fully backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and would work without issue.
