Hi,

I am making the powder coating to my adapter module which will connect with NI PXI-1031DC. I hope to make its colour the same as the PXI chassic.May I know the  pantone number for the beige colour of the PXI chassic(NI PXI-1031DC)?

when I tried to get a panel painted with this paint, the company that paints our panels told me that this was an incomplete part number.  I was told that the UWT2 in the part number has to be followed by a hyphen, a letter, and four numbers, which specify the exact color. It should be "P/N UWT270003-xxxx"

I find in the forum :http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=270&thread.id=4034. It says:"the correct part number is Sherwin Williams number UWT2-70003" .Is it true? It also mentioned this pantone is  experimental only and never been produced at that time? I also checked with my vendor. They can't find this part number at sherwin-williams's website(http://www.sherwin-williams.com/oem/us/eng/).

Can you confirm if the partnumber is true or not? Also can we buy it in the market or it's for NI's use only?

My understanding (from a prior request) is that the NI "Compass White" is not a standard Pantone color.  You are probably best off by acquiring a blank filler panel or other NI accessory that is painted the same color and having it color matched by your painter.

Thanks, John.

I finally have to pass the filler pannel to my vendor. They try their best to find the matching color, but not gurantee exactlly the same one, probably 80~90% matching.
