RealTime target software for PXIe-8135RT

Hi, all

I'm new with NI equipment

I have PXI system with PXIe-8135 RT and LabVIEW 2012 with Real Time 2012 Module. So, I know i have to install some target software for 8135RT from my host computer. This looks like I need. But this target software is compatible only with LabVIEW Real-Time Module 2011. When i tried to install it, i got error message/ How can i solve this problem?

Downgrade just Realtime Module to 2011? Or downgrade every labview installations i've made? Maybe, is there another target software for 8135RT?

Hello there!

With the PXIe-8135 RT, everything you need is nicely packaged into LabVIEW Real-Time 2012.  You are absolutely correct, the Target CD you linked to is specifically for LabVIEW RT 2011SP1 - this is because the controller actually shipped AFTER 2011SP1 (but before LabVIEW Real-Time 2012) had become final, and so we couldn't add support for the PXIe-8135 in 2011SP1 since we couldn't actually test and validate the controller on that release version; this is generally why a Target CD is created, to support the controller in previous shipping versions of LabVIEW RT for those who want to upgrade hardware but cannot (or choose not to) upgrade their version of LabVIEW Real-Time.  

LabVIEW Real-Time 2012 has native support for the PXIe-8135 (I should know, I added it) so there's nothing extra you should need in order to support the base functionality of your controller.
