SU3201.7RT icd file gives error 'does not support interface type'

This is a question about using a PCI-1422 card with a Sensors Unlimited 320 1.7RT camera.  I am using Measurement and Automation Explorer to try to view images from the camera.  I downloaded the .icd camera file for the SU320 from NI.com (http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/nipc.product?pid=2062) and saved it to the appropriate Data folder in the NI directory.  When I try to select the SU camera file by right clicking the channel and selecting the camera file, I get the error "camera file does not support the current interface type".  Does anyone know why I get this message and what I can do to avoid it? Thanks.

I have a PCI-1422 myself and I tried downloading the same camera file and got the same error.  I don't have that particular camera, but the camera file should still load in MAX properly.  You might try the 1.58kb camera file for the SU 320M camera from this website: http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/nipc.product?pid=2502.

Even better than testing the SU320M camera file, here is an updated copy of the SU320 1.7RT camera file.  I can't test this out since I don't actually have the camera, but this camera file now loads successfully in MAX.  In order to attach this file I had to change the file extension from .icd to .ico.  Change the extension back to .icd before you place it in the IMAQ/Data folder.  Hopefully this will work for you, please let me know.

Jason,  Success!  Thanks for your invaluable help.  This new file worked fine.  I need to fiddle with it a little to get a better image and expand the area of the array that the lens illuminates with the image (by buying some kind of lens attachment), but it's looking good.  At first the screen was jittering in grab mode... but if I adjusted the size of the image to less than 320 by 240, that problem was fixed.
Thanks again.

Glad to hear that file worked for you, thanks for letting me know.  I wasn't able to test it, so that is extremely useful to know for future reference.  Best of luck with your application!
