Veristand calculated channel lowpass filter

I am trying to understand how the lowpass filter works on the calculation channels in Veristand. I understand the low cuttoff frequency portion, but I do not understand how the filter order number affects the filter? there is an option from 1-8 for the order number. How does each order number affect the low pass filter?

Hey James,

Filter order is a generic property of low pass filters that affects the overall response of the filter. Typically 1st and 2nd order filters are used.
