can signal express used for a pxi RT system

Is Signal express compatible with RT systems ?i have a PXI 8186 RT controller.Can i use signal express from my host pc to communicate with the RT system.

Hello Priya,

There is no way for SignalExpress to talk directly to RT hardware.  There is a Read Shared Variable step in SignalExpress, so if you have a LabVIEW RT application running that uses shared variables, SignalExpress can read those values.  Other than that, you could use the SignalExpress LabVIEW step to do custom LabVIEW code.  Those are the only options.

Can you tell me more about why you would like to connect LabVIEW SignalExpress to your RT PXI system? Is there something in the SignalExpress experience that you cannot get from LabVIEW? Any information about this use case would be helpful.
