can't see SCRAMNet card in PXI system

My host is Windows XP with LabVIEW 8.5.  My target is a PXI system is a PXI-8106 Controller (with embedded LabVIEW RT 8.5) residing in a PXI-1042 chassis.  I had my SCRAMNet card prior to my driver so I installed it first.  MAX can see the controller and chassis but not the card.  Curtiss-Wright tech support has provided me with a driver, but I still cannot see the card in MAX.  I've used the VISA Driver Developement Wizard as specified in
https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA03q000000x3gICAQ&l=en-US and

[article link removed] but still can't see the card in MAX.  Have I corrupted a Windows registry somewhere?  Is there a particular location that I should put the .inf file?  Should I put it first on the host system and then FTP it to the target?

Hello,
After following the content of the article you will need to ftp into your controller and place the .inf file in the root directory of your controller.
I believe a support engineer is currently assisting you on this issue too.

I am wondering if you had any success with PXI PMC scram net.  We are considering similar approach to need are need for Scramnet.

yes, I was successful.  My initial problem was bad hardware on the card.  I could not see the card in MAX.  Once I got a new card that was resolved.  A word of caution, read and write only to your assigned area of the memory map.  If multiple systems are accessing the memory map (as in my case)  problems will occur if you do not stay in your assigned area.
