how to detect my pxi using labview??

i'm trying to detect my ni pxi-1042 using labview!!!!

it seems impossible,isn't it!!!

The PXI should appear in MAX (Measurement & Automation eXplorer) in the 'remote systems' subsection.

the goal of my idea is to detect  my pxi using labview!!!perhaps we should use MAX but it should be programmed with labview

Well. Since the PXI, is just a normal computer, if you know its IP address, you could ping it with TCP/IP blocks.

ohhhhhh yes that's i was asking for but you think that it's possible t-o ping it whit labview?????
