known I/O speeds for PXI-8106 using RT

I am trying to determine where are all the bottlenecks between acquistion of data on a 1394b bus through writing it to a 32GB hard disk.  The data comes from the bus, to a card produced by a 3rd party vendor, to the PXI-8106 controller, to the hard disk.  The PXI Controller is a PXI-8106 Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHz Controller with 2 GB DDR2 RAM using LabVIEW RT as the operating system.  I've seen specifications in http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/6253 and http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5897 but is there anything more specific?  I cannot have anything less than

40 MBits/s anywhere in the data path.

Hi,

The bottleneck in your system will be the speed that you can write to the hard drive.  The source of information on this is in the document that you have already posted.  Since your system only requires 5 MB/s, you should be fine.

This won't help you in your application, but we are doing some really cool stuff in DAQmx 9.0 that will allow really fast streaming to disk.  Check it out
