pxi 5401 "self test" not supported error

Hello,

I'm running labview 7.1 with a PXI-1045 chassis with several instruments.  I am trying to set up a new computer to run tests.  My current tester's computer works fine with this configuration, but the new computer is giving me the error that the SELF TEST IS NOT SUPPORTED.  I'm using the same version of drivers in both systems (niFGEN 2.5.2).  the 5401's INITIALIZATION VI runs fine, but when I run the SELF TEST, I get this error message.

again - this does not happen in the current computer, only in the new computer I'm trying to set up.  I suspect it may be a setting in MAX somewhere, but I can't find any differences between the 2 computers with regard to MAX.

If I've not listed enough info, forgive me in advance and let me know what you need to help me.

if you have any suggestions on how to resolve this, please let me know!  I've been trying to resolve this for 2 weeks!

Oh, and I'm using the IVI drivers for the 5401 and both IVI versions listed in NI MAX are the same on both computers.

I also tried using the NI435X drivers and got a similar message.  both drivers will allow me to initialize the card, but nothing else.

More info:  the INITIALIZATION will work with either niFgen or IVI drivers, but the self test, nor will the Configure Standard Waveform drivers, or anything else - only the initialize and close vis will work.

Hi Reece,

Are you able to perform a self test on the device via MAX or does that fail as well?

 Also, you said that only the initialize and close VIs are working.  Do you receive error messages if you try using other FGEN VIs?  If so, what are those error messages?
