Hi I am using PXI-6682 card on a pxi8196 rack. I want to use this card in order to generate the IEEE1588 synchronization PTPv1 but my problem is that I want to cross over more than 2 switches and the UDP packet sent with PTPv1 has a TTL Time To Live variable set on 2. I just want to know if it is possible to modify this UDP variable in order to increment it and be able to put more switches between the master and slave. For generating this PTP frames I am using NI Sync software 3.0 With the VIs Get time reference, for getting time from anthenna and start 1588 and wait for quality for generating the PTP protocol with the time achieved from the GPS antenna.
Ive been searching on the vi start 1588 and wait for quality in order to find the configuration of the UDP parameter, but it seems to be done internally by the board, so on it must be configured somewhere else.
If somebody knows how to change this TTL parameter it would be helpfull for finishing this sync.
