stop message

I just got a new 80GB HDD for my NI PXIe-8105 and am trying to install windows XP with an external disk drive and this is the stop message I get after a couple minutes of set-up. This is the second PXIe-8105 I have had this happen to. What is wrong?

I have no hardware in my chasis and it happens. I've been looking online and I think it may be that the XP boot disk is too old for the hardware and so I may need to slipstream the service pack 3 with it. I'll give that a try.
