How to fix the failure: Error loading niRFSA.dll

Hello everybody,

After installing the NI-RFSA 2.3.1 drive and the Spectral Measurements Toolkit, I get the following message when I try to run examples for the downconverter PXI 5600:

"Error loading "niRFSA.dll". A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed."

Our system consists of the following:

Host

====

windows pc

Labview 8.6.1

We also have the Modulation Toolkit and FPGA Toolkit installed.

All software was installed in the order required in the manuals.

Target

=====

PXI system with downconverter PXI 5600 and  PXIe-5641R IF Transceiver.

Labview Real-Time 8.6.1

Does anybody know how to repair this problem? I already uninstalled and re-installed these components.

Thank you in advance for any help that you can provide,

Rocio

Hello Rocio,

Here is what readme says

Application Development Software

If you are developing applications for the RF vector signal analyzer, you must install at least one of the following application development environments:

  • LabVIEW version 8.2.1, 8.5.1, or 8.6.1* or LabVIEW 2009 (32-bit) Full Development System or Professional Development System
  •

  • LabVIEW 8.5.1 or later Real-Time Module (not supported with NI PXI-5660)
  • Hence if you are using 5660 it is not support with this driver. Also version of LabVIEW you need is 8.6.1

    Since you have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, the driver, can you manually search niRFSA.dll in your computer? If you cannot find it, then you might want to reinstall it again, NI do have drivers online for free. Also check this document and see if it helps.

    If you do find the niRFSA.dll then make sure you have access to that machine as an admin. something that can stop it from running program. Also can you run RFSA example not NI 5600 one and see if you still get the error.

    Good luck !

    Hello Lab,

    I have the NI 5600 only (not the 5660) but I see what you are saying about the Real-Time Module 8.5.1 and above not supporting the 5660.  Thank you for your reply.
