Hi LabTech,
Thank you for posting on the discussion forums.
I would like to clarify what do you mean by "they stop working" . Do you start getting errors? and if so can you please attach a screeshot of the error?
Did you check the USB connection when the device stops working? I've seen USB-5680 stop working when the device is not plugged all the way.
PLease provide more details so that I can help.
Best Regards,
Farris

Hi LabTech,
We are trying to reproduce the problem on our end.
Can you please provide us with the operating system you are using?
Best Regards,

When the device is no longer recognized by the soft front panel, is it visible in the Windows device manager? If so, are you able to associate the drivers with it there? Also, when you plug the device in does the Found New Hardware Wizard window appear? If it does, but it says it cannot install the hardware, then it may be a missing registry key.
Thanks for the info,

The operating system I am using is Windows XP.
I believe the time that required the reinstallation of the software, the found new hardware message did not occur and the usb-5680 did not show up in Device Manager.

Was this an isolated event, or has it happened repeatedly? If the device is not showing up in the Device Manager, then it is likely to be a Windows detection problem. (Our drivers are not involved in detecting the device; they only take over after the Microsoft hardware drivers detect it.) Next time this happens, please try plugging the device into a different USB port (perhaps the one that had been working) and see if it is detected there.
On a side note, are you using a laptop? Sometimes laptops go into power save mode and power off their USB ports, which could cause a similar issue.
Cheers,
Christina
