Dear All,
i have a customer who asked me about the capability of NI Vector Signal Generators to generate multi carrier signals , and if so , what will be the minimum displacement between adjacent channels ? he already purchasing a full RF PXI system from NI and i need to support him as soon as possible
also , if i can work on the 2.7 GHz or 6.6 GHz to test GSM and CDMA2000 1X RTT units ??
can anybody help me in this please
i'm in a hurry!

Mohammed,
Since NI's VSGs are all software-based, you can generate pretty much any signal you want, as long as it's within the bandwidth and dynamic range of the instrument. The PXIe-5672 generator has a real-time bandwidth of 20 MHz, and the PXIe-5673 has 100 MHz of generation bandwidth. You can build your multicarrier waveform in software and define it however you want.
Either platform is capable of testing GSM and CDMA2k. I'd recommend the 6.6 GHz platform for improved test time if it's for manufacturing. Protocol implementation can be a challenge, though. If you have a large cellular opportunity, you should get in touch with your NI field sales engineer to see if NI can provide any help.
