Application not restarted as part of unexpected error recovery

Hi all,

This problem occurred on a 9053.

The last error message (via project target context menu) from the cRIO told me the cRIO had run into an unexpected error and had restarted the RT process.

My question: Why isn't the application also restarted as part of this? Is this by design?

Would the application have been restarted if the RT process was restarted by the Watchdog system?

Any clarifications are helpful.
