Hi,
I have purchased a NI cDAQ 9135 unit and I have found that this unit does not have enough RAM to collect data at the sampling rate I required, with the number of channels I require.
Is there a way to connect a laptop to NI cDAQ 9135 unit and use the laptop as the brain and use the 9135 only as a data acquisition device?
Thanks

Could you get the data off the controller fast enough with a network stream?

If you want to do that, you would look into different hardware, like a 9178 (USB) or a 9188/9 (ethernet). These are both cDAQ chassis that use your computer as the "brain". If you're locked into the 9135 controller, you're going to have to do something like network streaming your data back to the host pc and logging/analyzing it there. Here's some info on network streams: Lossless Communication with Network Streams: Components, Architecture, and Performance

I assume you have considered just plugging a USB memory stick into the cDAQ ?
