Cannot detect cRIO - Link/Activity LED Solid Yellow, Status LED never lights up

Our NI cRIO-9014 has worked fine for a while now. Recently, we can no longer detect it on MAX. I went through all the troubleshooting steps. I think there's an issue with the network adaptor because the Link/Activity indicator on the Ethernet port is always solid yellow (it should be blinking).

I can't reset the IP either. If I set the IP Reset switch and reset the cRIO, the Status LED doesn't blink like it should. In fact, only the Power LED is solid green - the Status LED never lights up.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello,

From your initial troubleshooting information it sound like your 9014 may be damaged. Have you tried the following troubleshooting steps?

1) Put the system into safe mode and try to reconnect via MAX?  Do you see the ethernet LED's light up when you connect an ethernet cable? Are you using a cross-over cable to communicate directly to your cRIO from your computer or are you using a straight through cable to a router?

2) Have you tried using the serial port on your cRIO to output serial communication (console out) to your host computer? This troubleshooting step can often NI support figure out what part of your system is booting.

The last thing you can do is to call NI support at 1-866-275-6964 or 1-866-Ask-MYNI . You will get a technical engineer to help you do further troubleshooting.

I set it to NO APP while it was connected and it was found in MAX. Some program may have been running that was maxing up the CPU on the controller and not allowing for any network communication.

Thanks
