Connection issues with sbRIO 9602

Hello,

i'm working with a single board rio 9602 and Labview 2012, i'm experimenting continuous connection problems with rio board: i've done a project and added  existing target as new device, but when i try the connect function on this target a pop up window appears signalling me that there are problems accessing board chassis.

sb9602 is configured with a static IP, and is connected to a LAN switch to my company network.

If i try to connect board directly to my development PC all is ok, but the problem  arise when i plug the board on LAN switch.

I've tried to remove all software from RIO board and installing it again but problem is still representing.

Can you please suggest me how to overcome this?

Also in MAX this problem is present, when trying to expand sub-element of sbRIO9602 board under REMOTE DEVICES i got errors....

Hi Mariano,

what kind of connections errors are you experiencing? Did you receive any kind of error form MAX? Are using a crossover ethernet cable when you connect the sbRIO to the switch?

Are you able to ping the sbRIO from cmd windows? Are you sure that there are no connections errors on the net?

Did you try to connect the sbRIO in DHCP mode? We can check if there are connection problem on the network?

Try to follow some of this troubleshooting:

Hello,

I am having a similar issue with two sbRIO 9631's (soon to be four). I can connect to it directly with my computer, configure it, program it and do anything I want with it. When I use the very same cable to connect to a switch, the ethernet ports don't even try to initiate communications. I have another board that I've had for several months that works just fine in any of the ports on the switch. I have tried crossover and straight through cables. I've gotten with IT and had all the extra PoE and Cisco fluff removed from the ports and still nothing. The amber light flashes a few times on the sbRIO and there's absolutely nothing on happening on the switch side.
