DMA buffer and remote front panel: Why does the buffer increases while I am monitoring live data?

Hi all,

I have a remote CRIO monitoring and registering voltage remotely.

the thing is...When I load the front panel on my browser, the number of elements on the buffer increases gradually.

I installed a mechanism that discards some data when the buffer reaches 66% of its capacity, otherwise, it would overflow.

I register some voltage parameters (RMS, Peak, THD, etc) each second and store it in a .csv file. I attached in the file the value of the number of elements in the buffer and when I close the front panel, the number of elements fades slowly and the number of elements in the buffer tends to a much lower value.

Any help on what can I verify to know what is causing these increments?

If you still need help, can you describe your application architecture? Or share screenshots of the code?
