I am using a cRIO-9082. It's been working fine for a few days running various file I/O and I/O operations. We did a power cycle and then on startup it gave the following error to the console (VGA) monitor
Transferring control to user program
Datalight Reliance v2.10.1053
Copyright (c) 2003-2006 Datalight Inc.
Reliance v2.10 Build 1053: Assertion failure in module rlinode.c line 1138 (DCL=351)
I tried the various dip switches and can go into the BIOS but none get me past this. Any ideas?

Hi Terry_ALE,
I think a reformat would be a good step to try out. This Knowledge Base article should be beneficial:

Hi Joel,
Thanks for the link. I am working on this with NI Support but thought it would be good to get this posted in case others encounter this (Google searches didn't have anything on this particular error.
We will reformat the device using the instructions on the link. We will however send it back for a replacement because at this point we are not sure if it is specific to our device.
Anything else you come across will be very helpful.

Hi Terry_ALE,
The instructions should still be valid for a cRIO-9082.
I think a reformat is a good first step in resolving this issue.
Let me know how it goes!

I followed the procedure and got the same boot error with the following attached to the end:

Hi Terry_ALE,
I think it may be time to RMA this device You mentioned you were working with NI Support, so work with them to process an RMA for this device.

We RMA'd the device and NI said the SSD had to be replaced. Nothing regarding why this happened.
