I'm connecting my cRIO 9045 to my host computer using a dual role and a network cable, but I'm failing to connect in a LabView VI.
I've set up the same subnet and installed all NI plug-ins, including Real-Time. I suspect the component versions in the cRIO and my LabView are different, but I don't know the password. Clicking set permissions shows the old and new passwords, but I don't know the old password.
What is the most likely option for obtaining a cRIO 9045-compatible software version?

If you do not have the password, you will need to reinstall the OS from scratch with a Recovery USB drive. Anything on the cRIO-9045 will be lost.

I recommend attaching a keyboard and monitor directly to the cRIO. It makes accessing the BIOS to boot from a USB drive a lot easier. A USB hub for the USB drive and keyboard, plugged into the USB A socket works for me.
The default login is used name Admin, no password (blank).
