How to measure number of pulses of a position single phase position encoder using cRIO 9012,chasi​s 9101 and NI9401

Sir,

      I have  cRIO 9012 ,chasis 9101,NI 9201 NI 9263 ,NI 9401.I want to do positon and speed  control of

     DC  motor ( 12volts 100 or 200 rpm) using PID .and i have single channel encoder which has 30 segments in the encoder

     wheel,and encoder resolution is 5.44mm/pulse.

                  Please tell me how to proceed in this project.

                        I have only the above cRIO modules available in my lab.

                  Please tell me how to count the number of pulses through NI 9401 and my encoder has only 3 wires i.e one is voltage and other ground,

                 and finnaly pulse output. I am attaching my encoder specifications.
