How to use serial port on Single board RIO 9636?

I got a NI Labview RIO Evaluation Kit recently and finished learning the tutorial document.But I can't find any words mention about how to use the RS232 serial port or USB port.

       I find a reference about how to use serial by modbus http://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/single-board-rio-using-modbus/m-p/2330274.However it still doesn't work on my condition,the VIs can't find any serial port.I can't find these serial port in Measurement & Automation Explorer too.When I want to create a serial port on the sbRIO divice in remote system catalog,the system hint me that it doesn't support to create a serial port or the NI-VISA doesn't.

       Now i got confused,could anyone tell me how to get the serial port to work successfully?

I am having the exact same problem. Needed to move some vi's from a 9602 to a 9636. I can see the following ports in my VI :

ASRL1::INSTR

ASRL2::INSTR

ASRL3::INSTR

But some of them are CAN ports I guess, and they don't appear in MAX
