Intel 82567LF Gigabit Ethernet Controller

Are there any plans to support the following NIC in LabView-RT or CVI-RT?

I've got the same question about Intel 82566DM.  I think both of these are some new interface called GLCI.

Hi Everyone,

While support for additional chipsets is what we hope to achieve, it still requires us to manually test the chipsets for compatibility.  This means that there is an indeterminate timeframe for when support for these chipsets will be included.

LabVIEW Real-Time includes support for a ethernet whitelist, to add chipset support for chipsets that have not been tested.  The article to implementing this whitelist can be found here:

I would give this a try with your chipset and be sure to let us know if it works for you.

Thanks for the info.  However, it does not appear that this approach will work given there is no Intel i8256x.dll.  If this is the case I have another question.  I am currently trying to use the Intel mini-ITX Motherboard.  This board uses the Intel 82567LF NIC.  The board also has a PCI Express 1X slot.  Is there a PCI Express network board that will work? I was unable to find a board with a compatible NIC.

Hi tedoyle,

As far as I know, all tested compatible chipsets can be found here:

There is an entry for an Intel 82567 chipset in this document, have you run into errors using this board?

Has anyone had success using the 82567 NIC

I'm using the Intel 82567V (integrated) and can not get the USB Utility to work with the NIC.

It's confusing because the chipset should be supported but the USB Utility doesn't seem to...

When I run the USB Utility it outputs:

Error! No supported network devices found.  A network adapter with a supported Ethernet chipset is required.”
Loading Ethernet Drivers:
Intel 8255x Ethernet initialized successfully
Intel 8254x Ethernet initialized successfully
Broadcom 57xx Ethernet initialized successfully
NVIDIA Ethernet initialized successfully
Finding devices for Ethernet drivers: Error! No supported network devices found.  A network adapter with a supported Ethernet chipset is required.
System State: IP Stack Configuration Error

Hi JTucker,

I'll have to do some research to see why the NIC isn't recognized when the document says that the 82567 is supported.  I'll post back when I find something out.
