Is it possible to use 9237 measure resistance?

I am using 9237 to measure pressure. Is there a way I can use the 9237 to measure resistance?

Thanks,

Ryan

I mean using the 9237 to measure regular resistor between 3000 ohm to 30000 ohm.

Hi Ryan,

Thank you for posting to the NI Forums! The 9237 measures mV/V and therefore there is no way to directly measure resistance with it. You would need a different module if you are interested strictly in resistance.

Hi Margaret,

What's the AI range (in mV) for 2.5 V, 3.3 V, 5V and 10V excitation voltage? I can apply the excitation voltage to a bigger fixed resistor connecting with my targeted resistor in series, and measure the mV level voltage on my targeted resistor.

Thanks,

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

The typical input range on the 9237 is +/- 25mV/V. Therefore, you can multiply each of the excitation voltages by +/- 25mV/V to find the range in mV.

The internal power is 150mW max, so be aware that you do not draw more than that.

The manual for the 9237 is located at http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/374186c.pdf if you have further spec questions.

Have a great day!
